Information for Witnesses
You have been asked to attend the Coroner’s court to assist the Coroner in establishing when, where and how the deceased came by their death.
This is a formal hearing and whilst there is no specific dress code we ask witnesses to dress reasonably smartly and respectfully. You do not need to bring anything with you, although if you already have a copy of your witness statement you may wish to bring that. We will also have a copy of your statement available at court that you may see.
